Harddy started with the idea that succulents and cacti deserve to be at the forefront of a marketplace. After looking at other big marketplaces, we started building the website. We thought providing a place for vendors to list their plants and creations would be enough.
We found that just isn't true. These plants, our vendors, and you deserve much better service.
The site launched and performed very well. The success created problems we didn't expect to find, largely with customer service. Your order might contain products from multiple sellers, just like it does on other sites, so your questions would need to be asked to multiple people. This was not how we wanted the site to function.
So - we took the site down for a while and built a new one that fit our new mission.
Harddy.com is a private marketplace for succulents and cacti that will provide the best service before, during, and after you order. Orders ship directly from our amazing nurseries, but if there is a problem or question, you only talk to us.
We are very excited to offer the largest selection online, competitive pricing, and the absolute best customer service.
Selection of Plants
We meet with our nurseries, plan out their listings, and photograph everything for them. This obviously slows things down a bit, but the end result is well worth it. We have 100's of new products in the queue to be added and 1000's more in mind.
We value quality over price. Because of that, on some products we are not the lowest price around. Our online marketplace should feel similar to the experience of going to one in person. And we don't think you would pick bad looking plants if given the choice. So we hand-pick premium plants for every order.
We have taken major steps to make sure we can answer quickly and accurately. Our contact us page has multiple options for you to get in touch with the right people. After your order, we send multiple emails updating you on your order and will go to great lengths to make sure you are 100% happy with your order.
OUR CORE VALUES
We believe that the spread of sustainable, affordable, gorgeous plants can actually create large scale positive change. Hardy plants are more environmentally responsible, working directly with small nurseries and designers is economically responsible, and adding beautiful live plants to your home/office is spiritually responsible.
